The Internet in its current form is both very young and very old at the same time. When I first got on there weren’t pictures on web pages. You had to download those separately from links. The pictures were super pixelated. Sure the current trend of selfies using a cell phone camera in the bathroom mirror turns out a lot of grainy pictures, but even these look ten times better than the older ones.
Finding porn pictures was a lot more difficult back then. You had to join communities that liked the same thing as you do. Now you can just search Google or Bing for just about anything you want within reason.
Another big development is the act of girls posting their semi-nude and completely nude selfies to sex personals like Amateur Match. Where girls used to be somewhat modest about having nude photos taken of them outside of a business setting like Playboy, now they shoot this new kind of porn themselves. Hence the term selfies.
